Paradigm Compliance Program

Introduction

Paradigm Health Services is privileged to provide quality services to our patients. We value our relationships with our contracted facilities and organizations and are committed to functioning according to the highest ethical and moral standards and to maintain our reputation for operating in accordance with the highest level of business ethics and all applicable federal and state laws. The Paradigm Compliance Program is the basic foundation or guideline for all Paradigm employees and contracted associates to fulfill this commitment to promote and function in a culture of compliance.

All employees, including all levels of management and ownership, are expected to comply with the tenets of this program and to conduct themselves in a moral and ethical manner when performing as a Paradigm employee or associate.

The current healthcare environment is highly regulated and a compliance program aids an organization in meeting the ever-increasing stringent requirements. In furtherance of this, Paradigm has entered into an Integrity Agreement with the OIG that confirms Paradigm’s commitment to excellence of service and adherence to regulatory standards.

The 7 elements of a compliance program are: 1) written standards of conduct and policies and procedures that promote an organization’s commitment to compliance;2) designation of a chief compliance officer who is charged with the responsibility of operating and monitoring the compliance program; 3) development and implementation of regular and effective training and education programs; 4) maintenance of a process to receive complaints and adoption of procedures to ensure anonymity of complaints and a non-retaliation; 5) enforcement of appropriate disciplinary actions against employees and associates who have violated compliance policies; 6) use of audits and /or other evaluation techniques to monitor compliance and assist in the reduction of identified problem areas;7) investigation and remediation of identified systematic problems and the development of policies and procedures addressing non-employment or retention of sanctioned employees.

Each Paradigm employee /contracted associate is expected to be familiar with the elements of the Paradigm Compliance Program and to read and certify acceptance of the Paradigm Code and Standards of Conduct and to complete all Compliance Training according to required time frames.

The Paradigm Compliance Officer, Carole Ramsay, welcomes your questions and is always available to support you in promoting ongoing efforts to operate in a culture of compliance.
