Health & Lifestyle Q&A
Caroline’s approach to health is rooted in consistency, balance, and realistic routines. She enjoys a mix of running, strength training, and simple nourishing meals, while also prioritizing sleep habits, family life, and practical habits she can sustain over time.
01 On a good week, what is your health activity strategy? What does your exercise schedule look like?
Running, resistance training, and walking are my mainstays. I really enjoy yoga and am actually a certified yoga instructor, but I just don’t have time for it much anymore.
- Sunday: Lift, usually total body at Ty’s gym
- Monday: Tempo run, 2–3 miles
- Tuesday: Lift, total body at home gym
- Wednesday: Run with speed intervals or hills, such as 4 x 800m or 8 x 400m
- Thursday: Lift, total body at home gym
- Friday: Off, walk, or yoga
- Saturday: Long run
02 On a good week, what do you eat? Are there healthy foods you regularly focus on?
I try to consistently eat protein at every meal and include fruits and veggies at least once daily. I’m also trying to limit sweets and processed food to once a week.
- Breakfast: Prepped egg cups with spinach and peppers, egg tacos with avocado and salsa, or Greek yogurt with honey or agave, frozen blueberries, and homemade sourdough granola
- Snack: Chia seed pudding with banana and black coffee
- Lunch: Beef and rice bowl with cheese and salsa
- Snack: Apple and peanut butter, pineapple, watermelon, or homemade sourdough with avocado
- Dinner: Big salad with berries, chicken, and goat cheese; chicken enchiladas; rice and ground turkey bowl; or scrambled eggs with spinach, peppers, and sourdough toast
- Dessert: I’m really trying to limit it, but this is something I struggle with. Usually a Yasso bar, yogurt with honey and dark chocolate chips, or ice cream
03 Are you a good sleeper? What do you make sure to do so that you get good sleep?
Usually, depending on if Jack sleeps through the night. I keep the room temperature at 65 or lower, use white noise, turn my phone off by 9 p.m., and take magnesium glycinate before bed.
04 What health or nutrition apps do you use, if any?
- FatSecret for macros
- BridgeAthletic for resistance training programming
- Strava for runs
05 What health devices do you use, if any?
- Garmin Forerunner
- Morpheus, sometimes
